Cichlidstore.Com began business in 2003 and has well over 800 satisfied customers. As of June 2010, Cichlidstore.Com Inc. is under the new management of Edwin Colon. So what makes Cichlid Store different from other breeders? Here's a little insight. First and foremost, it's important for you to know that most "internet breeder or sellers" in the U.S. are not directly importing their breeding stock from Africa. Many buy F1 fish (first generation from wild stock) although in many cases they are likely F2 or F3 fish. Consequently, they breed fish which produce F4 stock and that's what you purchase. With Cichlid Store, you are going to receive the highest quality fish either from the wild or from one of our many tanks.

Down here in the warmth of the Florida sun, we have many cichlid farmers that raise their fish in ponds. Pond raising fish can be more than a challenge. You can't control the water quality, temperature, birds, reptiles and other outside dangers from your fish. Instead we use large concrete vats that are housed in green houses. We have dedicated OVER 40,000 gallons of controlled environments dedicated to breeding and grow-out of Cichlids. We keep breeders and their offspring separated! Our well water is pure and ideal for Cichlids.
